Life in an Instant: What Love Feels Like

by Stacy on July 15, 2011

What Love Feels Like

Looking at these photos, brings back so many fond memories of this passed week. I’m pretty sure this is going to become a usual thing around here because who doesn’t want to be reminded of all the good times?

Some much needed family time, then the four of us on our own once again. We started with a morning at the local Farmer’s Market – sipping organic lemonade and tasting gluten free blondies (Yum!). Followed it up with a long walk, a trip to the book store, lunch at one of our favorite spots and then our usual outdoor dance party for the other patrons, what you don’t do that after you’re done eating?

Playing and more playing, indoors and out.

If you give a pig a party at @mysapl was OUTSTANDING!!!

Lots of story time,
a wonderful play put on at our local library,
ice cream!!
(frozen yogurt really)

From Long & Not so lovely ... to Short & Super Sweet

Some major haircuts,
more lemonade,
some chocolate cake,
time with our friends,
lots and lots of yoga and then … you guessed it,
more ice cream
(this time the real thing)!

He's just kinda excited they let him trade his toy for a cone

Did you know you can trade your Chick-fil-A toy in for an ice cream cone?
Someone was pre-tay excited!!

We finished up with something really special, a middle of the day movie date and lunch at another of our favorite spots — the fancy grocery store with the sit down dining space!

Woo Hoo, gourmet salad bar for me – the best Basalmic Dressing ev-er, PB & J’s for Sweet & Little and a grilled salmon fillet & San Pellegrino for Happy.

Strange Kid.

How was your week?

Proud Mommy Moment

by Stacy on June 8, 2011

ninja_mom

From now on, you can just call me ….

SUPER AWESOME NINJA MOM!!!

A certain handsome someone handed me this incredibly awesome crayola masterpiece when I came to pick him up from our gym’s play land this morning. The play structure has a direct view of the cardio classes and the kids like to watch Mommy working out some times … guess that’s what they did today because he told me. Look Mom, I drew a picture of you and your NINJA’S!!!! doing exercise. [Talk about a motivation to workout & be awesome!]

I think he’s been watching quite a few of these classes since he is super focused on exercising and yoga these days. He often asks me to demonstrate poses for him and loves to instruct his own classes with Sweet & Little as his students. Don’t worry, he always insists they use proper form and technique. He’s a real stickler that one, yesterday he gave us all a lesson on “Healthy Stretching” and even suggested I get up and do a few laps around the living room instead of checking out Facebook.

I love how interested he is in how his body works, what makes it healthy and how it can be even stronger and even faster if he keeps trying and pushing himself. Having a free personal trainer in the house doesn’t hurt either!
