Daily deals for moms, babies and kids

by Stacy on January 6, 2013

Have you ever shopped Zulily before?

Pictured Here: Lima Bean Kids / Nui Organics / Kricket Boys

I super puffy heart them and I bet you do too. If you aren’t familiar with them yet, they are an online store for moms and kids running daily deals at discount prices.

I get an email from them each morning filled with deals on great brands I have come to know and love through their site. The sales go quickly, each one last 3 days and often times products sell out quickly but I have learned to make Zulily really work for me.

When I find a brand I love and know I would like to purchase from again, or at least check out their latest products, I heart that brand on the Zulily site and they alert me the day before they go on sale again. If something I really wanted sells out before I have a chance to grab it, I set up an email alert for them to notify me when the product comes back in stock again.

Many brands go on sale quite frequently, so I never worry if I miss something the first time around.

Asics Kids / Ositos Shoes / Krickets Girls / DC / Save the Day

I use Zulily to stock up on quality school clothes, outerwear, shoes and pajamas for my kids.

I love their funky, colorful boutique fashions for Sweet. They often carry cool skateboard styles for Happy, and Little loves their graphic and super hero tees and jammies. I can often find cute sneakers for all the kids for less than $10!! <- I can’t even do that at Payless. And for a little bit more, I can even get a name brand shoe.

Zulily is my go-to place for all dress up clothes and costumes. We have quite the one of a kind collection and 90% of it came from their site. This week I am adding that shiny wizards cloak and hat. We already have the super hero mask, cuffs and cape shown here, but I think we might need a girl Captain America in our mix because that shiny silver mask is just too cute.

Insider Tip: Fabulous tutus like these and shiny capes go on sale all the time. These make the perfect gift for every girl and boy

Zulily also offers some wonderful deals on toys. We have used them to play Santa purchasing everything from cardboard playhouses, to Melissa & Doug toys, to wooden balance bikes.

They really are my favorite online store.

Here’s a sampling of the goodness I found on there today:

Teal Whitney Jumper (Bright Days) / Orange Cap Sleeve Dress (Bright Days) / Fizzy Soda Tee (The Good Ones) / Road Trip Hoodie (The Good Ones) / Light Blue Mystique Sneakers (Kick-Start)

See what I mean? Head on over and see what you can find today

Disclosure: Zulily is offering me store credit in exchange for telling you a few things I love about their site. It’s a natural fit since we really do love the site and order from there several times a month. Let’s hope this is the first of many chances for KSW to work with Zulily!

What a Mom Wants

by Stacy on April 29, 2010

This is it. The year, I have finally decided to accept all the bounty that is known as Mother’s Day. In past years, I’ve felt a bit unworthy, a bit too young, a bit as if it was still a day to celebrate my own Mother and not my new role as a Mom. I guess some might find it a bit strange that I had to have three children before I felt worthy of having my own special day, but for those of you who know me and how uncomfortable I feel about gifts in general you’ll know its just another one of my many quirks.

In honor of this special occasion (me accepting the fact I am a Mom), I put together this list of things I’m currently coveting … we’ll call it What this Mom wants. And No, I haven’t gone overboard – It’s just that I still like the element of surprise and not knowing what I’m going to get so I like to give plenty of options and let my husband do the choosing. :) ) Hopefully you’ll find something you might like to covet too.

Happy Almost Mother’s Day!!

{Razzleberry Skirt & Forget Me Knot Top – Down East Basics}

{Rhinestone Flower & Bicycle Earrings- Urban Outfitters}

{Recolte Bleue – L’Occitane}
{Midnight Pomegranate – Bath & Body Works}

{Prima Classics – TOMS Shoes}

Why these shoes? Well, besides the fact that they are way retro cool and just my style there are few companies I love as much as TOMS. Not familiar with TOMS shoes? They’re the company that donates one pair of shoes for every pair purchased to people in need all across the globe. Read all about their One for One mission, then do yourself (and someone else) a favor and save $5 with their awesome Mother’s Day offer:

KSW Valentine's Gift Guide

Just some bright and cheery things I thought you might enjoy as you prepare for Valentine’s Day, you can see more of my KSW Valentine’s Gift Guide list and tons of other recommendations here. Also, I’ll be adding links and prices to the Gift Guide tab sometime tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity, do you buy your children gifts for Valentine’s Day or perhaps make them something special yourself? Do you dress them differently for the holiday or have another fun tradition you’d like to share?

We’ve been busy baking

by Stacy on December 23, 2009

Busy Little Baker

There’s been a lot of baking going on in our home this holiday season as we take a moment to show our friends and family how much we care by giving them something homemade & covered in chocolate. I’m so thankful my children have a generous nature and giving attitude as they bake each batch with love knowing they’ll be going elsewhere and not staying at home with us. {Except for the one bite they get from each batch ~ I’m no Scrooge you know}
