KSW Loves Hazel

by Stacy on July 8, 2010

Zulily_Hazel

Every once in awhile I find a company that makes children’s clothing so adorable, I wish it came in my size. Hazel is one of those clothing lines and (hold me back girls) they are on Zulily today for up to 50% off. It’s going to be so hard for me not to buy one of everything. The shorts and ruffle capris are my favorite pieces for Sweet, but I would love to get my hands on a skirt like the blue & white combo for little ol’ me.

Which piece is your favorite? For your kids or for yourself …

It’s no secret most of us Moms have little to no time to dedicate to our personal appearance, and we typically fall into several mom uniform traps. Still, I like to think that a group of stylish women such as ourselves could collectively make great strides. In honor of this new thought, I am starting a KSW group on one of my all-time favorite sites, ShopStyle. This group will be a place for us to put together easy, yet stylish outfits and post for others to see and use as well. The best of these outfits will be featured right here on Kids Stuff World!

If you’ve never been to ShopStyle before, let me take a minute to tell you what it’s all about. ShopStyle is a social shopping site that links to all of your favorite stores. From one highly convient location you can peruse each stores inventory simultaneously – say you’re looking for a new sweater coat. No problem – simply enter sweater coat in the search bar and you’ll have access to literally thousands of coats. The best part is, you can narrow your search by size, price range, and even your favorite stores. When you find items you like, you can save them to your style book and create looks out of them to post on the site. Even better – you can set up sale alerts so you are notified whenever your favorite items go on sale! Finally, you can make a wishlist to hand out to folks who don’t quite no how to shop for you – clothing wise.

Sound like something you might be interested in? Great, head on over and create an account. Once you’re registered, be sure to join the Kids ~ Stuff ~ World Style group so you can start adding outfits right away. Remember, the outfits most suited to KSW style (easy, comfortable, and affordable) will be featured here on KSW.

Item #1 – The Blue Lotus Bag

by Stacy on August 28, 2008

The first item up for bid is Katelyn Jane’s fabulous Blue Lotus bag. She tells us this bag is “big enough to fit the kitchen sink”. She also says, “It’s super fun and super easy. Just throw all your stuff inside, putting items you’ll need most in the huge pockets, and go!” To read more about Katelyn on her fantastic blog, click here

Blue Lotus Bag

This the perfect bag for a mommy on the go, a trip to the beach or the local library. Even better, it would make a swell diaper bag and even a great tote for a trip to the Farmer’s market. It has four pleated exterior pockets (velcro keeping them closed), so it’s easy to find your wallet, keys or lip gloss.

Pockets

Best of all, it’s stylish and eye-catching, and sure to draw attention! Don’t you just love this print? We think Nie Nie would too. That’s why we chose this as our first item.

Let’s give this bag a great home, we’ll start the bidding at $5. What do you say?

Kids Stuff World Style

Kids Stuff World Style

There we were playing around a little to long last night on one of our all-time favorite sites, ShopStyle, when it occurred to us we had created a look that for the moment captured the essence of Kids Stuff World. It’s bright and cherry, creative, for the most part affordable ($182 for everything you see), young at heart, wash and wear, and slightly whimsical. Not a bad way to describe yourself if you ask me. Click on the image for details on each piece.

Target Dress Makeover

by Stacy on August 3, 2008

Wendy from Dozi Design is a lady after our own hearts. Not only is she an extremely talented artist, but she also has a knack for taking everyday ordinary objects and turning them into something truly extraordinary. Take this summer dress project , Dozi eyed this piece on a clearance rack from Target. Its original form was a bit unflattering, so she put her creativity to work and just look at what she created. If you have never been to Dozi’s blog , we suggest you head on over there now. You’ll be glad you did.

Do you have a project you think we should feature in our Restyled or Upcycled column? If so, comment here or email us at kidsstuffworld@gmail.com .
