These last two weeks have been some of the happiest days I can remember. It was so nice to have all three of the kids at home again. I love watching the way they interact together and love one another, I pray the bond they share stays as strong for all their days as it is right now.
They are pure joy and everything I could have ever asked for and more.
Happy went back to school today, Sweet goes back tomorrow.
Sweet & Little and I enjoyed one last carefree adventure together, just the three of us. We read piles and piles of books and played with trains and hung out at the DMV and soaked up every last minute of our last day together. It was pure and utter delight. And while today was one happy day for sure, tomorrow I’ll be watching my oldest two walk towards their schoolhouse through tear filled eyes.
I can’t help but feel awkward and wonder, are there other mothers out there who cry when their kids go back to school? Has this ever happened to you, please tell me I’m not the only tear-stained mom in the parking lot.

I believe life (and your outlook on it) is what you make of it. I am an optimistic dreamer, I keep my head in the clouds and my eyes open for that silver lining at all times. Some days that lining proves to be more elusive than others, it may be peeking behind a cloud or slightly more faded than normal, but it is always out there.

Then, every now and again, you happen on to one of those different sort of days. The days where you are almost blinded by that same omnipresent silver lining. It strikes you like a bolt of lighting and refuses to be ignored.
Those are the days you wrap up, ever so tightly; the ones you cling to and the sheer memory of them provides you with just enough spark to get you through those darker days.
Save them up like fireflies in a jar. Feed them with your passion and fuel them with every possibility you can send their way. It turns out the more you seek that silver lining and the more you focus on those brighter times …
the more of those days will come your way.

Seek out beauty and light and love and kindness. Concentrate on the things that really matter to you and the ones you love and let all that other stuff just fade away. The friends who speak down to you, the hearts you will never win, the troubles that all the worries in the world can not change. Let them go, let them roll right off your back like a duck in a silver pond. Find that path that makes you feel like you are right where you belong and don’t you ever lose sight of it. Focus all your time and energy there.
I find myself wandering my own path these days — the way is lighted and I am loving all the sunshine here.

His
and
HERS

A quick peek in to our world this week, they couldn’t be more different but we’re counting down the days till our pictures have all of us in them again. What you’re seeing on my end is a few of our classic ways of dealing with Daddy being gone so much – lots of cuddles, trips to Target (been trying to cut these out, but on longer trips … a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do) and family game and movie nights. Do you have any fun routines you do just when Daddy’s away? Sure does help to pass the time away.
What’s going on in your world this week?
I invite you all to share similar moments from your week here with me, or on Instagram (I’m @steet) by using the hashtag: #liai (<- Life in an Instant) or even on my Facebook page. Whatever is easiest for you, however you can reach me. I’d love to see what moments are taking hold in your heart this week.

All out of words and short on time, but I just wanted you all to know that life is GOOD and I’m thinking of each of you! I couldn’t go another day without stopping in and saying Hi, so many things going on behind the scenes and I am itching to tell you all about them. Big things on the horizon folks, and I want you all to be a part of them!
Update: I realized I posted this photo of my lovely friend Amy from our girls day out and didn’t say a thing about it. She’s as pretty as a picture and as much as I would love to pass myself off as her, that’s not me up there. I’m standing behind the iPhone taking that shot while we talk crafts and mommyhood and plan our Etsy craft party
