and I just can’t wait!

This creative line of colorful and modern kid art supplies is nothing, if not inspiring.

I already have big plans for these graphic duct tapes,

and my geology, gem crazed kids will be thrilled to get their hands on these crayon jewels!

Five Glorious days with the man I love …. my entire WEEK was my happiest moment! There are a few things you should know about us:  1) We are very much in love  &  2) We are never together.

Honestly, in the 12 years we’ve been a couple, we have never spent more than 2 months together. Never. I know there are many other couples out there who share our story, and if you’re out there and reading this now please know I’m always here when you need an ear or a shoulder. I know what a lonely road it can be.

I’m not sure I even knew how badly we needed this time together until we were there. We haven’t spent this much time with just one another since our honeymoon almost 8 years ago. I feel like we just returned from our second honeymoon — it was Amazing!!

I’ve got more to tell you about our trip, but this post is for moments: insta-moments and boy did I have a lot of them. A Night in Paris, a trip down memory lane in Venice, a day in New York, watching the sun come up and spending as much time with my Mr as I could. Easily the best vacation ever.

For all my regular readers who’ve been following our posts about tightening our budget and watching our pennies … the one good thing about spending so much time away from the one you love … points & miles. We were able to go on this vacation essentially for free, we also saved and set aside some spending cash and money for food. I’m happy to announce we came home with some extra cash and brand new iPhones, so we can now do face time from anywhere! It was a good trip indeed.

There is nothing else like family! It has taken me a lifetime to create the one I’ve always dreamed of, but here they are in all their glory and I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world! They mean everything to me.

As long as we’re talking family … let’s talk hugs!

Any other huggers out there? Tell me I’m not the only one! At least tell me you won’t mind when I wrap my arms around you the first time we meet.

Why do I hug? Well, because a good hug can improve the gloomiest of moods, put an end to the baddest of days and cure just about any other thing that ails you. It’s a way to let those you love know just how much you care about them, and a way to welcome the folks you want to know better in to your heart.

I tell my kids we each have a love tank. When we get tired and grumpy after a long day, that is our body telling us our tank is empty. Just like our stomachs need food, our love tank needs loving ~ hugs work especially well. Every night before bed we take turns filling up each other’s love tanks. We hold on to each other super tight, and usually end up squeezing and tickling each other until someone can’t take it anymore and sings out their tank is full.

Hard to end a night like that in a bad mood!
