Fun Father’s Day Craft

Frugal Father's Day Crafts

I can hardly believe Father’s Day 2010 is just one month away! I guess it’s about time for me to start pumping out some fantastically frugal Father’s Day craft ideas that you can make with your kids. I thought I’d start with this fun project that is so incredibly simple children of all ages can do it themselves and even better –> it only cost $1 to make! Yep, a dollar.

What You’ll Need:
- some eager kids
- a wooden frame (we got ours for $1 at Michael’s)
- markers
- a picture of the kids (you get extra points if Dad is in it too)
- foam scrapbooking stickers (optional)

Simple DIY Father's Day Craft

We made these after nap time, Happy & Sweet designed their own frames and when they were done borrowed some of my scrapbooking stickers to add as embellishments. I was so thrilled with how these turned out and I just know Dad will be too :)

If you make one of these for you Dad, send us a pic or tell us all about it. Happy & Sweet will be so proud.

For the Home

Jennifer from TaterTots & Jello makes THE coolest wreaths,
remember the Christmas Marshmallow Wreath? I’m still swooing over that one.

idearoom_feltwreathNow imagine a tiny version of Amy’s felt heart wreath nestled inside the cupcake wreath, darling :)

This delicate heart garland from Oh So Crafty is perfect for recycling old catalogs and magazines

If you don’t sew, you could apply the same principles form the garland above and make this paper heart window display

Any kid would love a batch of Vanessa’s adorable felt Conversation heart cookies

KSW Loves Halloweenies

Witches and Pirates and Ballerinas, Oh My! I’m swooning with delight over these FREE adorable downloads Babalisme is so graciously sharing with us for Halloween. What a fun activity for children at a Halloween Party, or as a take home gift, or even as an alternative to Halloween candy if you’re a zealous paper cutter. I’ll be cutting my own version soon, but these were way too cute not to share. Pass on the cuteness, then stop by Babalisme and tell her all about it :)
