A few weeks ago a friend contacted me and asked if I’d like to give away a pair of tickets to a Bon Jovi concert happening in San Antonio in October, um yeah … I love giving cool prizes like that away to friends & readers!
She said they had noticed a lot of ladies enjoying the shows as Girl’s Nights Out (GNO) and wondered if I could spin the giveaway in that direction — of course!!
The question was,
Why Girl’s Night Out with Bon Jovi?
One look at the tour page and the answer was literally staring me in the face
— BECAUSE WE CAN.
I think we put so much pressure on ourselves, as women; and wives; and moms, to be everywhere all the time attempting to do everything for everyone. We end up neglecting ourselves and not putting enough value on our friendships and personal relationships outside our family unit.
We need to stop that.
We need to stop it right now.
You don’t need a reason for a girl’s night out, you DESERVE a girl’s night out!
From now on, let’s think of GNO, not as girl’s night out, but rather as Girls Night OFF. (yea Lisa, for coining that phrase!) EVERYONE deserves a day off, and in our case, much more often than we allow ourselves too actually enjoy one.
So here’s me giving you permission … and an awesome opportunity to go enjoy yourself for a well-deserved Girl’s Night Off!
P.S. I haven’t listened to much of Bon Jovi’s newest music. When I heard this track I got super excited about the show — love the message here.
“I don’t want to be another wave in the ocean, I am a rock not just another grain of sand.
Want to be the one you run to, when you need a shoulder
I ain’t a soldier, but I’m here to take a stand (Because We Can)”
