Today is World Oceans Day.
A day to honor and explore the oceans and it’s inhabitants.
One easy way to get children excited about World Ocean Day or any environmental effort is to make learning fun. Through playful learning and connecting your child with nature, you can introduce them to a whole new world under the sea and when a child makes a connection like that it will carry over throughout their lifetime.
Here’s a round up of wonderful activities from fellow bloggers to inspire your child’s mind and start nurturing little stewards of the ocean

Paper Plate Aquarium and more from Raising My Two Girls
Ocean Waves in a bottle from Mama Pea Pod
Ocean Wonders Sensory Bin from Train Up a Child
Beach in a Box with Mama Pea Pod
Fishies in the Ocean snack with Mommy and Me Book Club
Exploring the Outdoors with Rainy Day Mum
Here are a few more ways you can celebrate World Oceans Day with your child.
1. Check WorldOceansDay.org to find events in your local area
2. Visit a zoo or aquarium (many are celebrating w/ special events)
3. Spend a day at the Beach
4. Explore the ocean from a library
5. Or even online (check out the blu)

Thanks for including our Ocean Waves in a Bottle and our Beach in a Box posts! We are learning about oceans for summer learning, so I’ll definitely be pinning this as a resource.
Thanks for sharing our paper plate aquarium! My preschooler loved it so I hope others enjoy it, too! Going to pin this for future reference.
Oh my goodness this is so cute. My girls would love it – will definitely be doing this soon. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Have a great weekend Stacy!
