I realized after posting our advent activities this year, there was way too much focus on out & about activities and far too little crafts at home and time spent learning the true meaning of Christmas. Not that we weren’t still doing some of this, but it was obvious we needed to be doing A LOT more! I’ve been busy interjecting more of these activities into our day, after all, those were a few of the reasons I started the countdown to christmas activities in the first place. (I’ll be updating our list with the new changes)
Lucky for me, I have one of those friends who posts the coolest things on Facebook everyday. Seriously, I have no idea where she finds all this stuff. Yesterday she posted a link to several handmade ornaments kids can make themselves and this one immediately caught my eye. I literally jumped up from the computer and went rummaging through my drawers to gather all the supplies.
A few minutes and a lot of glitter later and we had these:
