Cookie costume

I found this last minute costume idea while reading my Craft Magazine feeds and just knew I had to share it with you. The talented mother behind this project figured out a way to make this costume really outlast the holidays. Her custom made Chocolate Chip cookie costume can be easily converted into seat cushions for her child after Halloween. Click here for a link to her step by step tutorial.

Genius, I tell you, Genius. Amber, I’m with you – you do deserve some sort of award. Thanks for sharing this great idea with the rest of us.

The perfect handmade children’s gift

by Stacy on October 25, 2008

Traveling Art Studio

I don’t know why women are so instantly drawn to beautiful stationary and paper gifts, I have to contain myself each time I enter a shop or book store where journals are sold. Perhaps that is part of the reason I am so drawn to this fantastic idea posted at JCasa Handmade. I found the post a few days ago but find myself going back to it again and again. I truly believe these are the perfect gifts. For children, for parents, and if modified a bit for adults, for myself :)

Children's coloring wallets

The link to this tutorial is a bit different than our other posts, you’ll have to buy it from the seller’s etsy store. The bargain is the seller doesn’t care how many you create, give, or sell. So if you wanted to you could go into your own traveling art studio business. How fun would that be?

Looks like it’s time to start compiling the Christmas Gift list, look back soon for tons more holiday gift idea posts …

Pink Little Bunny Ears

by Stacy on October 23, 2008

Bunny costume
We spied this cute little bunny ensemble on The Purl Bee and just knew we had to share, while this one is a bit more involved than some of our with DIY Halloween costumes, it still requires only minimal sewing. I’m willing to sew a spell to get the results of this one.

Just check out these cute little paws and you’ll know why:

Bunny Paws

Molly, the creator, really put some love into this one and it shows. The final costume : the hat, the paws, a leotard, some tights, and a pom pom tail is perfect for a growing young girl. We hope you enjoy this one as much as we did. Be sure to check out the full instructions, here

Molly, Thanks for sharing!
